Note from Christina:

I cant believe it’s that time already, and by “that time”, I mean the holiday season will be here before we know it. Completely looking forward to hoodie weather & not sweating every time I walk outside. Is it just me or has this summer been ridiculous?

Regardless, fall/winter will be here before we know it & I’m really looking forward to this years Annual Fall Mini Shoot Weekend. This year minimal (my signature style) is being thrown by the wayside & we are going complete opposite. MCM (Mid-Century Modern) is what’s happening this year. Many of you have seen the sneak video on my Instagram account & when I tell you this home is amazing, it really is amazing.

Some MCM homes are very clean lined & ultra minimal. And some MCM homes are very clean lined with pops of color, mixed materials (aesthetics). The residence (as you’ll see here in the photographs I’ve taken) is the latter.

As the homeowner was walking me around the space, I couldn’t help but feel inspired.

I am honored to be using this beautiful home for this years backdrop.

In closing, my vibe this year is editorial, mixed with deep tones & beautiful moodiness.

The only downside is having to wait for November to get here.

much love friends, x

Jacksonville Branch Federal Reserve Bank Of Atlanta | Jacksonville, FL Photographer

Jacksonville Branch Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta

Ever since I was a kid I have been blessed (maybe cursed) with a big imagination & that has followed me through out my adult life. Buildings, homes, anything abandoned…I immediately want to know the stories.

What took place inside those walls?

Who lived or worked there?

How did the people dress?

What tears were shed?

What happy times happened?

What filled these walls?

I have so many questions, and yet I can only imagine.

I haven’t had a lot of free time for personal projects, but would love to start sharing more things that I am passionate about. Much of which includes a story. A personal one. A historic one. Stories in general are what brings us together. Helps us shine light on things/people/events that are forgotten or never shared in the first place.

These photographs were taken back in October of 2021 & finally got around in sharing them.

Random fact: My mom worked for the Federal Reserve (inside this exact building in the 1970’s, talk about full circle.

I also wanted to note some artwork you will see below, a hanging basket with white flowers that was painted in the basement (on one of the columns), it was signed by: Margaret Wilson, 1979.

Hope you enjoy the little details through out (little time capsules of sorts), if bones (these walls) could talk.

First 48 | Jacksonville, FL Newborn Photographer

First 48

Every birth story is different, some are super easy while others feel like a lifetime. My hope in creating the First 48 series is to capture those small details, the ones you may have forgotten about.

Fifteen years ago my son came into this world & hands down the best thing that has ever happened to me. But my birth story wasn’t wonderful, the c-section was extremely rough on my body & while I wish I could say I embraced all the little moments…I was in pain & not in the best of spirits.

Why am I telling you this? Simply because I wish I had more photographs during those days in the hospital. They change so much in the those few weeks & having more tangible memories would have been a blessing.

My goal is to photograph those intimate details within those first 48 hours. All photographs will be documentary style, black & white…there is no posing, no styling, just real moments. I want to be a fly on the wall.
